Rektor UPI Meninggal Dunia, UPI berduka

Segenap civitas akademika Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) berduka cita karena Rektor UPI masa jabatan 2015-2020, Prof. H. Furqon, M.A. PhD., meninggal dunia hari ini, Minggu tanggal 22 April 2017. Beliau meninggal setelah mengikuti pertandingan persahabatan tenis antara tim UPI dan tim Bank Mandiri.

Setelah mengalami pingsan di lapangan dan mendapatkan perawatan pertama di RS. Advent, Cihampelas, Bandung, beliau dinyatakan meninggal dunia pada jam 10.15 WIB. Jenazah kemudian di shalatkan di masjid Al-Furqon, UPI, untuk selanjutnya dimakamkan di TMP Cikutra.

Segenap keluarga besar Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang (DPBJ) FPBS UPI, mengucapkan belasungkawa yang sedalam-dalamnya atas wafatnya Prof. H. Furqon. Semoga amal ibadah beliau diterima di sisi Allah SWT, dan keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberikan ketabahan. Amin YRA.
